We all remember the classic matching pairs game on the old Nokia handsets, but Match takes things a stage further by offering Palm users the chance to test their powers of recall in a full-colour graphical environment. The principle of the game is the same - you're shown a series of pictures before they're turned over and you must match the pairs. We felt that perhaps Match could give you a little more time to take in the pictures, as you only get a couple of seconds to look at the game board before play begins.
That said, the program is just as fun as the original and the addition of cutesy graphics and sound effects makes the whole thing more enjoyable. Although you can change the number of tiles on the board, there aren't many other options for customizing Match, and we'd have liked to have seen a setting for changing the pictures that are displayed. Like the original though, it's the perfect way to kill some time on a bus or train trip.
